Jaflong,Sylet


Jaflong is one of the most attractive places in Sylhet division. It's about 60 km far from Sylhet town and takes two hours drive to reach there. Jaflong is also a scenic spot nearby amidst tea gardens and rate beauty of rolling stones from hills. It is situated besides the river Mari in the lap of Hill Khashia. One can watch the stone collection from the river in Jaflong as well as can enjoy the boating in the river Mari. Jaflong is totally a hilly area of real natural beauty where hills are greenish with the forests.

jatio sansad Bhaban


jatio Sansad Bhaban is the national assembly building of Bangladesh,located in capital Dhaka. It was designed by famus architect Louies I Khan.The Bhaban consists of nine individual blocks: the eight peripheral blocks rise to a height of 110' while the central octagonal block rises to a height of 155'. All nine blocks include different groups of functional spaces and have different levels, inter-linked horizontally and vertically by corridors, lifts, stairs, light courts, and circular areas. The entire structure is designed to blend into one single, non-differentiable unit, that appears from the exterior to be a single story.
The main committee rooms are located at level two in one of the peripheral blocks. All parliamentary functionaries, including Ministers and chairpersons of some of the Standing Committees, have offices in the Bhaban. The Parliament Secretariat also occupies offices in the same building.

Sitakund:


Sitakund: About 40 km from Chittagong. This is famous for the Chandranath Hinduy Temple and the Buddist Temple. There is a hot water spring 5 km to the north of Sitakund. Other important places of interest include Shrine of Shah Amanat, Shahi Jame Mosque, Chandanpura Mosque, Portuguese Arsenal Port Area, Marine Academy, Biponi Bitan (New Market) and Government Circuit House built during British days.

Star Mosque,


Star Mosque, locally known as Tara Masjid (Bangla: তারা মসজিদ), is a mosque located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is situated at the Armanitola area of the old part of the city. The mosque has ornate designs and is decorated with motifs of blue stars. It was built in the first half of the 19th century by one Mirza Golam Pir (Mirza Ahmed Jan). [1]

Built in the Mughal style by Mirza Ghulam in the late 18th century, this mosque was originally a simple rectangular mosque, measuring 33' x 11' with three doorways on the east façade (main façade) and one on the north wall and another on the south wall. Three domes crowned the mosque, the central one being the larger. Towers accented the corners and the façades displayed plastered panel decoration.

The Ahsan Manzil Museum


The Ahsan Manzil Museum in Dhaka is situated at the bank of the River Buriganga in Dhaka. The entire museum is established within a magnificent pink building. The dome of this building is visible from miles. The building, which has been transformed into a museum, was at one time the house of the Nawab of Dhaka. At present the place has got 23 galleries that display different portraits, plenty of furniture and various other items and objects that were used by the Nawab staying there.
The Ahsan Manzil Museum remains open on all the days of the week, except Thursdays. The place remains open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, from Saturday to Wednesday. From October to March the museum remains open from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm even on Fridays.

Mosque of Baba Adam, Dhaka


The Mosque of Baba Adam, Dhaka was constructed by a person named Malik Kafur. It was built during the rule of the last llyas Shahi Sultan, namely Jalauddin Fateh Shah around the year 1483 A.D. This mosque is an elegant structure having six domes. The architectural pattern of the mosque displays the similar characteristic features of the period to which it belongs. The features include the curved cornice, three mihrabs which are very richly decorated with magnificent hanging and floral patterns made out of terracotta. There are faceted octagonal turrets which are located at four corners of the mosque. The entire structure is very beautiful and the visit to this mosque will turn out to be a wonderful and unforgettable experience for everyone.

Mainamati, Comilla


About eight km. to the west of Comilla town which is situated 114 km south east of Dhaka lies a range of low hills known as Mainamati-Lalmai ridge, an extensive centre of Buddhist culture. On the slopes of these hills lie scattered a treasure of information about the early Buddhist cMlization (7th-12th Centure A.D.). At Salban in the middle of the ridge, excavations laid bare a large Buddhist Vihara (monastery) and imposing central sharine. It has revealed valuable information about the rule of the Chandra and Deva dynasties which flourished here from the 7th to 12th century. The whole range of hillocks run for about 18 km. and is studded with more than 50 sites. A site museum houses the archaeological finds which include terra cotta plaques, bronze statues and casket, coins, jewellery, utensils, pottery and votive stupas embossed with Buddhist inscriptions. Museum is open Sunday-Friday and closed on Saturday. Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) established nearby in 1959 is known for its pioneering role in co-operative movement.
