Mosque of Baba Adam, Dhaka

The Mosque of Baba Adam, Dhaka was constructed by a person named Malik Kafur. It was built during the rule of the last llyas Shahi Sultan, namely Jalauddin Fateh Shah around the year 1483 A.D. This mosque is an elegant structure having six domes. The architectural pattern of the mosque displays the similar characteristic features of the period to which it belongs. The features include the curved cornice, three mihrabs which are very richly decorated with magnificent hanging and floral patterns made out of terracotta. There are faceted octagonal turrets which are located at four corners of the mosque. The entire structure is very beautiful and the visit to this mosque will turn out to be a wonderful and unforgettable experience for everyone.
